Janelle first fell in love with acting…

… while watching Seinfeld and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air growing up. That passion mixed with her love of dance would spur her on to earn a BA in theatre acting from the University of Winnipeg and a BA Honours in contemporary dance affiliated with The School of Contemporary Dancers (Winnipeg).

Janelle has performed onstage in Annie: la comédie musicale (Just for Laughs) and Hair: the love-rock musical (Kayla Gordon), on film (Virginie Brunelle, Angèle Dubeau, Céline Dion, Trip the Light Fantastic), and on television (Chanteurs Masqués, Révolution season 3). She also works in circus with Les 7 Doigts de la Main with director, Gypsy Snider for Virgin Voyages. Janelle spent the the summer of 2023 brushing up on Meisner Technique at Baron Brown (LA) with DW Brown and Elaine Williams, and will be touring "Rhapsodie" with Sylvain Émard Danse in 2024. She was grateful to have coached this season's winner of Révolution: Season 5, Gabrielle Boudreau on Gab’s last and winning number.

When not performing, Janelle works as an embodiment coach, offering one-on-one sessions of somatic processing and teaches a regular dance workshop for professionals collaborating with a fellow Asian artist to uplift Asian artists in leadership.
